Attendance Policy

At Ashgate Nursery School we believe good attendance is essential if children are to be settled and take full advantage of the learning and development opportunities available to them.  At a young age continuity and consistency are important contributors to a child’s well-being and progress.              click on:  Ashgate Nursery Attendance Policy

Behaviour Policy

We aim for Ashgate Nursery School to have a calm environment where children can feel happy and secure, for in such an environment purposeful learning can occur.  We aim to support children in developing self control and responsibility for their actions. We aim for all adults to have a consistent, supportive approach to encouraging positive dispositions and behaviours.  We will work with parents and other agencies to find the most effective and sensitive ways of encouraging positive behaviour for each individual child.                                                    click on:  Behaviour policy.doc

We endeavour to make every effort to achieve maximum inclusion of all children whilst meeting children’s individual needs. This policy recognises the entitlement of all children to a balanced, broad based curriculum. Our policy reinforces the need for teaching that is fully inclusive.
